KATSUSHIGE MURAOKA

1951

Born in Machiya, Arakawa Ward, Tokyo.

1965

In his second year of junior high school, he formed the band "Junior Tempters", a younger brother band of "The Tempters", and served as the vocalist. The band's members included drummer Hiroshi Oguchi, who later moved to "The Tempters", and current guitarist Takayoshi Asano of "Godiego".

1968

She trained at the boutique "Baby Doll" in Iikura Katamachi, which was designing costumes for bands such as "The Tigers," "The Spiders," and "The Tempters," before going on to become a fashion designer.

1970

Enrolled in the Japan Men's Apparel Academy and learned the basics of tailoring.

1972

After graduating from the Japan Men's Apparel Academy, he joined Bigi Co., Ltd. and studied under Takeo Kikuchi.

1973

Bigi Co., Ltd. launches the men's brand "Bigi Men's". It becomes a hot topic after providing costumes for the TV drama "Angel with a Scar".

1975

He moved to Men's Bigi Co., Ltd., where Takeo Kikuchi served as both representative and chief designer.

1981

He left Men's Bigi Co., Ltd. and became independent, starting "BARGMAN" and "Yin & Yang" in the same year.

1983

As the costume designer for the Mother Teresa charity concert "SHANTI SHANTI LIVE," she accompanied Kenichi Hagiwara and members of the Don Juan Rock 'n' Roll Band to Calcutta, India.

1995

He moved to the United States and lives in Los Angeles.

2003

He returned to Japan from the U.S. In the same year, he began overseeing the custom-made suit brand "KATSUSHIGE MURAOKA PLUS7" at Takashimaya.

2017

We have partnered with major bridal company "Claudia Co., Ltd." to develop "KATSUSHIGE MURAOKA BRIDAL."

2018

Launched the "KATSUSHIGE MURAOKA" brand.
