Former Chief of the Traffic Division (Superintendent) of Chiba Prefectural Police

In 1978, he was appointed a police officer in Chiba Prefecture and promoted to sergeant the following year. In 1983, he was transferred to the Traffic Division of Chuo Police Station, where he has been involved in traffic investigations for a total of approximately 30 years.
Cases he has been involved in during his time in office include a 300 million yen insurance fraud case, a vehicle insurance fraud case by a former right-wing leader and others (Chiba Prefectural Police's first organized crime case), and a business interruption insurance fraud case by former members of a yakuza gang.
In 2014, upon retirement, he was specially promoted from inspector to superintendent.
