Born in Kyoto in 1959.In 1980, at the age of 21, he started a business and ran a model gun shop, among other ventures. In 1991, he moved to Tokyo and focused his activities on the mass media industry.He has served as a commentator on incidents and accidents involving firearms and explosives, primarily appearing as a firearms expert on television, radio, and in newspapers. He has appeared extensively on commercial TV networks and NHK news and information programs. At the same time, he conducts interviews and writes for major publishing companies' magazines, covering a wide range of topics.He has also supervised films, dramas, and manga, with supervised works including 'Odoru Daisousasen' (Fuji TV), 'BULLET BALLET' (directed by Shinya Tsukamoto), 'Ueta Lion' (directed by Takashi Ogata), and 'Sirene' (Sayaka Yamazaki).His publications include 'Gun Society Japan' (TV Asahi Publishing), 'Barted Detective' (Shogakukan), and 'Insects that Devour the Brain' (Micro Magazine / Shogakukan), among others.In recent years, he has worked to preserve and promote traditional culture, serving as chairman of 'ICTSG JAPAN,' the Far East branch of ICTSG (International Council of Traditional Sports and Games) under UNESCO. In 2024, he assumed the role of chairman of the Marketing & Communication Committee for WCS (World Camelid Sports) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and established the Japanese organization for camelid sports, 'JCSF.'
